Products from KBIS 2025 that emphasize design without sacrificing performance

Hot in Vegas

Kallista guise at KBIS

Over 43,000 people descended upon the Las Vegas Convention Center, walked over 30,000 steps (personally speaking), and lamentably rode Teslas through the Vegas Loop—all in service of seeing the latest and greatest at the Kitchen and Bathroom Industry Show (KBIS). There were new gadgets, gizmos, and Gordon Ramsey made a beef wellington. (He has an appliance collaboration with Thor Kitchen.) There were even cars on the show floor: Monogram Appliances outfitted a Lexus GX with an integrated pizza oven, ice press, and bourbon storage; and Fabuwood and designer Kerrie Kelly brought out a blue Bronco. Why? Because Vegas, baby.

Beyond the glitzy marketing, there was a thoughtful implementation of technology as more and more appliance companies use AI to take the guesswork out of domestic labor. On the surfaces’ side of the floor, tiles and slabs continue to get thinner and more sustainable, from COMPAC’s surfaces made of recycled glass to Laminam’s 2-millimeter-thick slabs. Technology was also used in service of wellness, which trended across the board. Companies like Kohler and Empava introduced tubs designed specifically for cold plunges, while Aladdin Sauna by Effe Perfect Wellness won a Best of KBIS award.

Out of more than 2,500 exhibitors at this year’s KBIS, the following products stood out for an attention to a visual language, especially in the areas where this is often overlooked, as well as a dedication to enhancing performance and functionality. Here are the highlights from KBIS 2025.

Impulse 30” Induction Cooktop

Displayed at Thor Kitchen’s booth, the Impulse Cooktop is a sleek, clean take on traditional stove design that doesn’t hinder intuitive use. The efficient aesthetic carries over to its energy consumption and installation, too. The cooktop runs on an integrated lithium-ion battery, meaning it’s operated by clean energy and only uses power when it needs to. It is installed into the counter with a 120-volt outlet, plugging into existing circuits. While it cuts down on power usage, it increases its precision and cooking strength: It can boil water in 40 seconds and each burner can be set to an exact temperature.

Emtek SELECT Rosso Levanto

Emtek’s SELECT line allows for mixed-material and texture customization of knobs and levers. During the show, the brand debuted a new material offering for the line: Rosso Levanto marble. The red Italian marble adds a touch of luxury and fine detailing to interiors while the custom finishes, stem designs, and grips allow the line to be fine-tuned to the project.

True Caliber

True Residential announced its partnership with Caliber. The partnership means True Residential is now the sole manufacturer of Caliber grills, offering a more complete outdoor kitchen program. True Caliber’s first release is the David Rockwell Social Grill, a 360-degree, walk-around grill designed by David Rockwell. The grill will be offered in four different sizes with the option for propane or natural gas—and in True’s signature colors and hardware. This collaboration revives Rockwell’s design for Caliber while elevating outdoor grills to a bright and sophisticated offering.

Guise Collection by Kallista

Extremely thin and angular, this faucet collection depicts brassware in the guise of a sculpture. Available as a tub filler, single-control faucet, wall mount, widespread faucet, and more, Guise offers both a sleek design and a feat of engineering that allows water to travel through a 54-millimeter-wide spout while maintaining strong water pressure.

twO by Laminam

The twO demonstrates innovations in surfacing with ultra-thin, 2-millimeter-thick porcelain slabs. This thinness allows for flat and curved applications. The slabs are made with 60-percent recycled natural minerals. Lightweight and versatile, it can be applied on top of existing tile to further help with construction cost and project timelines.

Orme Pedestal Basin by Kast

Playful and colorful, Orme comprises a concrete basin atop a fluted or smooth column pedestal with an overhanging counter sandwiched between. The design continues Kast’s creative explorations of concrete while a compact structure makes it a solution for small bathrooms. Each component—basin, pedestal, or plate—can come in one of the brand’s signature 28 colors for a monochrome moment or bright, bold statements.
